To My Black Men

Your black and brown bodies are vessels of strength, love, and consciousness
Your plump lips, wide noses, and thick brows make prettiest of portraits
The veins that effortlessly show through your skin shows just how alive and real you truly are
The way your commanding tone is ever so gentle and angelically poetic
How your speed, likeness and creativity are envied
You are the gems of the entire galaxy
Yet some cant see, refuse to see
They are so blind to the point they think they can just just make you leave
By hunting you, killing you, in prisoning you and tearing you down time and time again
They deem your natural born greatness as a threat to society
But truly they envy thee
They are scared that you are better than them and you are
They are worried that if a man of your caliber recognizes his strength that their punitive stature may be revealed.
That their inadequacies aren’t because of your existence but from their own lacks of knowledge and being
They refuse to see you as an equal because in their hearts they know you are superior
Superior in the sense that no matter how hard they try, you will rise again and again
To my Black Men
We see you
We love you
And we never stop speaking for you
