Its OKAY to be SINGLE on V-Day

​Don't be a negative Nancy. Its okay to be single on Valentines day! Being single on Valentine’s Day can seem like the absolute worst. Tbh, valentine's day is just another day. Everyday should be valentine's day when it comes to a relationship. Your significant other should shower you with love everyday. Every other weekend or month you should eat at a nice restaurant, go to the movies, take a vacation, or go to the spa. You should be able to look at your partner and know that they love you EVERYDAY! February 14th is just a day to put an emphasis on your love for that person. This Valentines day I am single. And tbh, I'm actually okay with it. I've come to realize I'm really okay with being by myself. Of Course I want to be with someone but until that day comes Im able to enjoy my singleness and spoil myself. Survivors I want you to know its okay with being single on this holiday.

Here are 5 reasons why its good to be single on Valentines Day:

You're not the only one who's not celebrating.

There are a bunch of people who are single on Valentine's Day, it's nothing to be bitter about!

You definitely could have a Valentine, you just don't want to settle.

I bet you that you've turned down more people than you can recall. The fact that you don't want to settle for anything less than what you really want doesn't make you unloveable or lonely it makes you intelligent. Love can be a beautiful thing and one day you'll be glad you waited for someone who really makes your days a little brighter.

It's just any other day.

Yes, couples seem to be crawling out of everywhere today. They are holding hands on the sidewalk, feeding each other ice cream cones on benches, and taking over social networking websites, but at the end of the day Valentine's Day is just another day.

Remember That Valentine’s Day Happens Only Once a Year

It might feel like the world is out to get you when stores are decorated with red heart balloons and cheesy love songs are playing on every car stereo. But come February 15, all those cards with heartfelt messages in them will be lining a dumpster somewhere.​

You don't have to spend your whole paycheck on gifts.

There's nothing sweeter than the thought and gesture of getting something nice for someone you care about, however there's also nothing wrong with saving a little money or treating yourself!​ If you're single and dont what to do for yourself here are somethings you could try:

Try out a new restaurant

Check out a local museum

Have the ultimate movie marathon

Have a night out with friends

Get a makeover

Get an early start on spring cleaning

Throw an Anti-Valentine's Day party

Start a new project

Start a new book/audiobook

Do a staycation
