Tomorrow is NOT promised

Death is scary… Because it’s timing is unpredictable, unknown, and unbiased towards anybody or any age…

In my 25 years I’ve seen death come in many ways; gunshots wounds, suicide, overdosing on drugs, car accidents, freak accidents, death by cancer, and more.

I mention all this to say that, TOMORROW IS NOT PROMISED and everyday should be cherished, because your last day could be today. Why live with negativity in your heart, sadness in your thinking, anger in your emotions, and complacency or stagnancy in your approach to life? Rather each day you should be grateful for the things you do have, positive, happy, and actively improving on your approach to life and your inner self! Life is short, so make the most of it for yourself!

Furthermore, most people have lost loved ones in their life. And most of the time, you don’t get the opportunity to say your final goodbyes, or tell them how much you love them, or how much they mean to you. I was lucky enough to take care of my Uncle before he passed away in February. He was the ROCK for our family. He was always there with his camera ready to capture a priceless moment. I miss him so much but I do know that God makes NO MISTAKES. So my suggestion to everyone is to really cherish the people you love everyday!

Furthermore, PRIDE! Appreciate the people in your life, and a nice comment or gesture from time to time can go a long way into showing your appreciation for them. You see somebody do something amazing, tell them “that’s incredible!” “congratulations” “I am proud of you!” Pride can be the number one killer for a lot of people and it might stem from jealousy, envy, or self-esteem issues, but if you have a relationship with a person and see them doing great things, don’t hold your tongue because of pride. Show your support and admiration!

Overall, tomorrow is not promised, and that is why it is so important to live our personal lives abundantly, full of joy, as well as always reminding your loved ones, friends and family that you appreciate them, what they do, and who they are!
