Meal Prepping is simply preparing some, or all of your meals ahead of time. It's like having those TV dinners that you would purchase from the store, except that you prepare them yourself, with better, healthier and unprocessed ingredients.
Just recently I got back into meal prepping because Im trying to achieve a weight loss goal by 25. Ive always had a passion for cooking. Of course I learned how to cook from my mama. She cooked every thanksgiving, Christmas, and any other special occasion. Of course soul food is all I know but when it comes to meal prepping I try to use some of my healthier options.
Typically I cook 10 meals, 7 snacks, and 7 breakfast meals (for the week)
The average time it takes me to make everything is typically around 2 hours.

Meats: Shrimp, Lamb, Chicken, and Ground Turkey.
Vegetables: Asparagus, Zucchini, Green beans, Broccoli, Squash, Sweet Potato and Cauliflower
Carbs: Brown rice and Quinoa
Breakfast: Wheat bread with peanut butter and bananas
Oatmeal
Turkey bacon with a egg sandwich
Or a fruit of my choice
Snacks: Carrots
Grapefruit
Almonds

( EVERYTHING LISTED ABOVE ARE MY GO-TO'S)

All of these ingredients are quick and easy to make.
Do you have a system?
Meal prepping doesn’t have to be done on Sunday night! Some people work night shifts, some people have weekends off… this needs to be a plan that fits your lifestyle. Sometimes, just simply having a few ready-to-go meals available, but having the flexibility to pick what to eat on the fly, is the best strategy. You don't want to get overwhelmed especially when your a beginner. Too often people get bogged down in details when sticking to the basics will do more good. Don’t try to incorporate too many new things at once. For example, don’t try meal prepping with all new healthy recipes. Start prepping with recipes you already know. When you feel comfortable, add more. You see folks go on ‘health-kicks’ all the time, and what happens? They lose their gusto pretty quickly, because they add too many new things at once. They start a salad-only diet, going to the gym, running, yoga, etc...all in the first week.

To be sure that you create meals that you enjoy MAKE A GROCERY LIST!

Meal prepping is the way for my life especially if you trying to be fine!
